Hamish Stuart and his Bunch of Anchors will reunite for a night of fun and dancing at a Christmas Hop at the Alexander Centre, Faversham on Friday 14th December in aid of The Faversham Creek Trust.
This will be the first time that the band have performed in Faversham since Hamish’s farewill gig at the Anchor in September, and before that at the MinimOare Music Festival.
The core line-up will be Hamish Stuart, Andrew Newmark, Nico Ramsden and Felix Krish, with a sprinkling of special guests.
Apart from founding the Average White Band, Hamish spent four years recording and touring with Paul McCartney, and Andy Newmark played all the drums on John Lennon’s last “Double Fantasy” album. All the band members have a string of first class credits as long as your arm – testament to the incredible wealth of musical talent that has come to congregate in the local area.
We are delighted that these fabulous musicians have agreed to appear at this fundraiser to give all our supporters, and the Faversham community generally, a fantastic night out before Christmas – with all proceeds going to the Trust to assist us in renovating the Purifier Building in our drive to maintain the maritime heritage of the town.
