SIX at the HCA Awards……
with thanks to Michael Maloney.
I’m glad Mike focussed the camera on Alan Staley in the audience (himself a prize winner last year of course). I think we were all faintly embarrassed by the ‘end of boat building in Faversham’ but it’s difficult to get details totally accurate in such a complicated issue. But, the tremendous fact that the town has got together to make such a huge effort to keep the Creek active along as much as its length as we possibly can to ensure that it keeps the vital critical mass it needs for large vessel repair and maintenance has been well understood and appreciated by the HCA – and confirmation that they have brought the issue to the attention of Prince Charles was encouraging.
