John Oliver was born without hands, yet lived a full, active and creative life using mostly his left foot. He was an artist, a chef, and for 30 years was Captain of the tug Hobbit on the Medway and Essex and Kent Coasts. He was known to many in this area.
Faversham resident Frances Beaumont was a life-long friend and is
writing a book about him, composed of many people’s memories.
Come and hear his story and see a photo presentation.
Frances is looking for his paintings and local memories to include in her book,
due to be published next year.
