The living history of the Front Brents archaeological dig
In the Summer of 2025, the Kent Archaeological Society alongside Faversham Society Archaeology Research Group (FSARG) and Museum of London Archaeology’s Coasts in Mind Project undertook a community excavation along Front Brents at the edge of Faversham Creek. Over the course of 10 days they uncovered, with the help of the local community, remnants of the 19th century homes which once occupied this stretch of land.
Join Kent Archaeological Society Curator Andy, who led the project, as he reveals the archaeological stories revealed by the excavation and the living history which Faversham residents added to the tale of Front brents.
