About us

About us

Faversham Creek Trust was founded in 2011 by a group of local people who wanted to regenerate the Creek and safeguard its future. Our vision is that Faversham Creek remains a valued resource for all the community to enjoy and learn about.

The Trust acts as a hub for creek-related interests, campaigns to safeguard the creek and promotes its heritage, waterways and environment. We are a membership organisation, offering volunteering opportunities and events to bring our community together.

With the support of our Members and Volunteers, we uphold boatbuilding and maritime trades and encourage leisure and educational activities on the Creek. Join us in our campaign for an opening bridge, lock gates and sluices so that the basin of the creek can become a heritage harbour.

Our home is an industrial heritage building at the back of Home Bargains’ car park. Known as the Purifier Building, it is also home to Cinque Ports Rowing and Colin Frake, heritage block-maker.
